How to Search
You can search either Sinhala, English or Tamil words/phrases with wild cards. Just type the word / phrase in the search box and click search . The results will be categorized as per the dictionary.
Sinhala Unicode Support
This site uses Sinhala Unicode fonts. Please make sure your browser supports Sinhala Unicode fonts to properly view Sinhala words. Following links could be helpful for more information on how to enabling Sinhala Unicode support:
Virtual Keyboard
Virtual Keyboard is given for each dictionary to type Sinhala with ease. To get the the Virtual Keyboard, click on the given Virtual Keyboard link in the home page. Then you will see a keyboard icon near the search box. Click on this icon and the Virtual Keyboard will come up. First click on the relevant vowel or consonant letter. Modification to the basic letter can be done with the signs given in the latter part of the virtual keyboard. After typing the required word or phrase, make sure you select the dictionary you want to search (by default, Open English Sinhala Dictionary is selected).
